Coming down to Galveston soon? Looking for something relaxing, fun yet entertaining and competitive? Galveston has a beautiful full-range golf courses as well as put-put places too.
If you’re looking for something more challenging and rigorous, I would recommend trying a full-course and if your looking for something fun and entertaining to do with your family, put-put is the way to go.
Today we will discuss a few golfing options on the island that will best suite your needs and wants.
Moody Gardens Golf Course
This premier golf course is the perfect place for you and some friends to hash it out on the turf. With a multi-million dollar renovation, the course now includes new:
- Turf grass
- Elevations
- Irrigation
- Drainage
- Cart Pathways
- Renovated Clubhouse
It’s a great place to golf for local residents on the island as well as tourists. The course also includes new Paspalum turf, which is actually a really outstanding playing surface.
Also, with over 500 palm trees and 18 holes, this course creates a tropical beach like experience that will make you never want to leave. This course is open seven days a week, so come by anytime you want! To make a reservation and to learn more about pricing, click here:

Magic Carpet Golf
Located on the West End, Magic Carpet Golf is a great place for your whole family to enjoy. With 36 holes, your kids won’t be able to get enough!
Admission prices are $7 for kids and $10 for adults. They only accept cash or check, so KNOW THAT before you get their and cant play.
One of my favorite courses was hole number one where an ant spits the ball out of the hole as well as the replica pirate ship that you go on to hole number 18. Also, the course is decorated with an oceanic scenery that is very warm and inviting to everyone.
