Beach House on the West end

Why Rent a Beach Home on the West End

Wanting to come down to Galveston soon? Looking for a place away from all of the constant noise and partying? If that’s the case, rent a beach home on the west end of Galveston!

The west end is known for its miles and miles of beaches, local restaurants, and best of all isolation. It is the perfect place to kick back, enjoy the beach views, and get away from society. Today we will discuss why renting a home on the west end on Galveston is a great vacation location for you and your family.

Seclusion

Galveston is a beautiful place to Vacation, but with the noise and sometimes crowded beaches, a calm and private beach sounds like a much suitable situation for you to be in. Here at Galveston’s west end, that’s exactly what you’ll get!

View from the deckThe beach area in front our beach home you rented belongs completely to you! Automobiles are also NOT allowed on this part of the beach in front of our beach home.

And if someone does park their car in the private section of the beach which includes our beach home, call the Galveston Police Department and the trespassers will be removed instantly.

Also, public beaches in the west end are usually never busy, so you could drive your car all the way to the shore line if you want. You also get your private space to go fishing in front of your beach rental or you could go down to the San Luis Beach and fish there. It has been deemed a great place to fish by locals and visitors.

Fishing and beach time aside, the West end is  a great place to connect with your family and friends. And the best part is, when you do want to go into town, it’s about a 20-25 minute drive.

Local Stores and Restaurants

How great would it be to get away from all of the HEBs, Walmart’s, and McDonalds of the world? Here at the west end, only “local” stores and restaurants are available, so it gives you a chance to see what Galveston is about.

West End Restaurants

A restaurant you should try is The West End Restaurant. Their burgers are out of this world and the coconut shrimp is absolutely to die for. They also have an open bar and a beautiful view of the ocean. It’s a great place to have a drink, watch the Astros game, and soak in the breathtaking view.

Another great local restaurant you should try is Nate’s West End Seafood & Steaks. A dish I would definitely recommend trying is the crab stuffed shrimp. The margaritas are also worth trying as they were amazing. I loved how the staff was able to juggle many duties around but were able to stay attentive to guest needs and keep their composure at the same time.

You can see a list of all local restaurants in the FAQ section of our website towards the bottom of the site. The restaurants are listed in order based on distance.  .

West End Grocery Stores

As for groceries and overall necessities, Seven Seas Grocery will attend to your every need. They have a great selection for whatever you want whether it be wine or a fine cut steak. They also have a nice and friendly staff who can help you in case you can’t find what you’re looking for.

And surprisingly the Dollar Store is Bed Bath and Beyond and HEB all in one. They have everything a beach goer might need from toiletries to home décor to beach gear to groceries to alcohol.  Granted not everything is a dollar…but still a nice one stop shop for sure.
