“Beachfront Bliss” kindly named by our HGTV producer! Yes, you read that correctly – we had the privilege of being featured on HGTV’s Beachfront Bargain Hunt, airing on September 16, 2018.
Our journey to owning a vacation rental began over two decades ago when my husband and I started renting vacation homes for our vacations. We were always drawn to the idea of having our own private space, away from the confines of hotels. Plus, we also preferred to cook a few meals at home for our boys while on vacation.
As seasoned guests, we’ve gathered invaluable insights, shaping today’s vacation home experience. We have taken all of those experiences and now have created our own vacation home rental experience for our guests.
I distinctly remember those earlier trips with our kids, wishing for features like a fenced yard or a secure balcony for them to play safely. Those very wishes have become integral to our beach homes.
We’ve meticulously equipped the kitchens with top-notch appliances and a range of amenities, including baking pans for those delightful cookies and cakes. Moreover, each bedroom boasts high-end mattresses, ensuring a restful night’s sleep – these are the type of details our guests often rave about!
The décor of our homes are also very cozy and inviting. And then there is the location – right on the beach or very close by! It doesn’t get any better than this…well, unless we were in the Caribbean! 😉
We also have a guest book in the home and take every comment for improvement very seriously and have made changes accordingly.
For example, one guest asked that we leave throw blankets out during the winter (done). There was also a request for towel hooks (done). Another guest asked that we fix one of the doors that squeaked (done). And then there was the guest that asked for a hot tub….LOL- not so done!
For the most part, our guests don’t ask for much and that’s because we have really tried to think of everything for families to have the best time in our beach home.
