In this article I points how some romantic and fun Valentines things you plan for while visiting the Island with your sweetheart and/or family.
Go on Tours
Galveston has a plethora of tours for people to go on, which includes things like dolphins sighting, and helicopter tours and more. Some tours include:
Helicopter Tours-
Helicopter tours would be a great way to experience the sea life and the area of Galveston itself. It can be very romantic especially the Sunset Tour, which is a 25-minute tour of the whole island of Galveston and the tour ends with the sun setting. The pilots and workers are very kind and reasonable. The prices for the tours can range from $50- 175 per person The price is worth it. You can book your helicopter tour here. tours at https://galvestonhelicopters.com/
Baywatch Dolphin Tours–
Here you can enjoy a nice boat ride and enjoy a close up view of the dolphins in their natural habitat. The boat has a heated interior and no propellers, so no marine life is ever harmed. The prices are very reasonable as well. For adults the cost is $10, for children who are 12 and under, the price it is $5 and infants and pets can ride for free! Get more information here.
Visit the Historic District
What is the Historic District?
Also known as the Strand District, it is a national landmark district of mainly Victorian era buildings which are now restaurant antique stores, and curio shops. It was built in 1850 and is 45 acres long.
What can you do there?
In the Historic District, you can eat food at numerous restaurants. They have a plethora of options from American, Greek, Mexican, Italian to seafood. There are also a number of entertainment options such as the Pier 21 Theatre, Texas Seaport Museum, Tall Ship Elissa, Museums, such as Ocean Star Offshore Energy Center and much more.
The strand is also the center of festive activities such as Mardi Gras, Dickens on The Strand (a Christmas festival in Galveston that occurs during the first week of December), and much more.
Rent a Romantic Beach House-
Having a good valentine’s day in Galveston is all about having a great beach home with a private beach. You need a place that is private, comfortable, has a beautiful view of the beach and more. A beach home is also worth it, because you don’t have to go out to eat all the time, and maybe you could cook a romantic meal for your special one! And end the evening with a moonlight walk on the beach. If you haven’t found one yet, click here to check out my family’s beach house rental.
In Conclusion
Galveston is filled with great Valentines Day ideas for fun, and romance or a family Valentines weekend! Good Luck with your planning!
